Professor Trent is looking for any students who are remotely interested in the OMEGA system to immediately assist in research, tasks, and meetings with the Santa Cruz City Council. Duties of position will include preparing case studies, updating and expanding technical and policy reports, conducting research and outreach activities in the areas of biofuels, gathering information and data, and helping to prepare materials for experiments. Description:  Alternative Energy Research Analyst Intern

Nature’s Energy Group, a start-up alternative energy company headquartered in Watsonville, CA is seeking enthusiastic candidates to conduct research in alternative energy and develop local and global environmentally sustainable energy solution.  Candidates must demonstrate ability to research, and go beyond surface level “googling” with thorough investigation.  Clear writing and communication skills, innovative thinking, entrepreneurship, team player, and pragmatism are musts.  Background in the sciences, especially biology, chemistry, water, bio-engineering, engineering, law, journalism and business are definite pluses. We are offering part-time flexible hours, with opportunities to advance.

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC)’s Energy Division is seeking qualified interns for 2010. Interns must be currently registered college or graduate level students. The CPUC’s summer internship program is supported by a grant from the US DOE and funds provided in the American Resource Recovery Act (ARRA).
